There are islands known as the islands of San Jorge. They are located outside the Bay of San Jorge. They are reserved areas because of their biological importance. Tropical birds, seagulls, and marine swallows migrate there and sea lions also show up time to time. This is also another wonderful spot to go snorkeling and scuba diving. Stay clear of the sea lions, they can be a little fussy. Dolphins can also be found on this island.
For all the fishermen or fisherwomen, Rocky Point is the spot to catch some really nice fish. Some fish include red snappers, flounder, triggerfish, and sail fish. Marlin is another great catch. If you really want to get into the fishing then head over to the Marina located over in the inner harbor. You can hop on some fishing boats or shrimp boats. After you catch some fish talk to a local and see where you can cook some of the fish you caught. Cebiche is great with freshly caught fish. It doesn’t get more Mexican than that!
