The Pros and Cons Of Visiting Tijuana

Located on the border of America, Tijuana is one of the most visited cities in Mexico. Visitors enjoy its nightlife, world-class restaurants, museums, and bull fights. You can also find a lot of typical Mexican art there. You can party or shop til you drop. Either way you will love your stay in Tijuana, Mexico. Wine enthusiasts flock to the wine cellars over by the famous Revolution Avenue.

It has a lot of activity so if you’re looking to relax then Tijuana may not be the place for you. It is known as Sin City with its famous imagery of sex shows, drugs and prostitution. The city has been cleaning up and the darkness of the city has calmed down a bit. It has actually become a shopper’s market. If you’re looking to dance and drink then you came to the right place.

The city is loaded with non-stop entertainment. Bull fighting is a famous attraction in Tijuana. It’s a very dramatic sport that has been a tradition since the Spaniards came to town. If you get tired of watching bulls get stabbed by spears and whatever else the matador throws at it then head over to the Jai Alai palace. Agua Caliente Racetrack had its grand opening in 1916. There was a complete underground tunnel connecting it to the racetrack when Prohibition was constituted in the US. Just one year after it opened the US made horseracing illegal. For those who wanted to escape and do some drinking crossed from Los Angeles to Tijuana. In 1947 Jai alai opened and had a real money making appeal to it. You can tell by its architecture.

The Tijuana Cultural center is a very unique site. It’s a huge dome that has an IMAX theatre in it. You can watch films on Mexico’s history and heritage. There’s also a museum where you can view some of Mexico’s artifacts. Once you work up an appetite then head over to an award winning restaurant called Cien Ados. It serves fantastic Mexican meals. If you want something on the go then pick up some great tasting tacos from Maria Candeleria located on Revolucion ace near 3rd. You can’t be in Mexico and not taste a real taco! After you stuff yourself with tacos and burritos then you stay at a near by hotel and enjoy the rest of your day relaxing on a hammock watching the sun set go down.
